System administrator
In-depth Operating System Knowledge:
· Solaris: ZFS file systems, SMF administration, Solaris Zones, G/LDOMs, Veritas Volume Manager, system configuration, and boot environments.
· AIX: JFS2 file systems, LVM (Logical Volume Manager), HACMP (High Availability Cluster Multi-Processing), NIM (Network Installation Management), system configuration.
· Red Hat Linux: XFS/Ext4 file systems, LVM, device mapper multipathing (DM Multipath), system configuration, GRUB bootloader.
· Storage Replication Technologies: Understanding various data replication methods is crucial:
· Synchronous Replication: Provides real-time data mirroring, ensuring zero data loss (RPO=0).
· Asynchronous Replication: Replicates data with a slight delay, offering flexibility but with a small window of potential data loss.
· Snapshot-Based Replication: Efficiently creates point-in-time copies for granular recovery.
