Senior Network Engineer
Role Overview
You'll be a senior hands-on Network Engineer at the center of highly available, global infrastructure. You'll design, run, and improve enterprise and data center networks that thousands of users and critical applications rely on every day.
You'll work across routing, switching, firewalls, SDWAN, and load balancing, primarily using Cisco, Fortinet, and F5 technologies. You'll be the person others turn to for complex troubleshooting, resilient network design, and modernization initiatives across enterprise and private cloud environments.
If you enjoy solving tough networking problems, shaping network architecture, and partnering with security, cloud, and operations teams to keep things fast, secure, and reliable, this role gives you room to grow your technical depth and influence.
Here's a breakdown of what you'll do (not all of it, just the important stuff)
- Design, deploy, and support enterprise and private cloud network infrastructure across production and nonproduction environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex Layer 2/Layer 3 issues in missioncritical, highavailability networks.
- Configure and optimize Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms, including WAN, campus, and data center networking with BGP and OSPF.
- Support and maintain Fortinet FortiGate firewalls (including VPNs, SDWAN, and segmentation) to deliver secure, resilient connectivity.
- Administer and finetune F5 BIGIP load balancing and application delivery services to keep customer and internal applications highly available.
- Lead incident/root cause analysis, contribute to modernization projects, and maintain clear technical documentation, standards, and network diagrams.
These are the essentials you'll need to get an interview
- Solid hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise or data center environment.
- Strong expertise with Cisco enterprise networking (Catalyst and/or Nexus), including Layer 2/3, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, QoS, ACLs, and NAT.
- Practical experience with dynamic routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
- Working experience managing Fortinet FortiGate or similar nextgeneration firewalls, including VPNs and security policies.
- Experience supporting load balancers or application delivery controllers (ideally F5 BIGIP).
- Comfortable working in high-pressure production environments, including maintenance windows and critical incidents.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative, ownershipdriven mindset.
It would be great if you had these too, but we'll support you if you don't
- Experience working across multi-site or global networks, and familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Exposure to automation or infrastructure-as-code tools (for example, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or APIs).
- Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE, or F5 credentials.
