NMDPL: Navbharat Mega Developers Pvt. Ltd. (NMDPL) is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) formed through a joint venture between the Government of Maharashtra and the Adani Group. It leads the Dharavi Redevelopment Project, aiming to transform one of Asia's largest informal settlements into a modern urban hub with sustainable housing, infrastructure, and economic opportunities.
Job Purpose: The role is pivotal in managing tenant relations during redevelopment projects, particularly in slum and building redevelopment scenarios. This role involves securing buy-in from tenants, local committees, politicians, and the broader community, ensuring a smooth transition throughout the redevelopment process. The Lead will act as the primary liaison, addressing tenant concerns, facilitating open communication, and fostering relationships that contribute to successful project outcomes.
Educational Qualification:
Any Graduate or Post Graduate degree, Prefereably in Real Estate, Business Managment & Administration, Legal.
Work Experience (Range of years):
10 - 15 years
Preferred Industry:
Experience in tenant management or corporate affairs, property coordination, or a related role, with a strong understanding of redevelopment schemes, architectural standards, and product knowledge.
Proven negotiation skills, with the ability to handle complex discussions with diverse stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of legal frameworks, lease agreements, and regulatory compliance specific to property and tenant affairs.

Lead Tenancy Management
Tenant Engagement and Buy-in:
Lead efforts to secure tenant buy-in for redevelopment projects by communicating the benefits and addressing concerns through information sessions and one-on-one interactions.
Develop and implement engagement strategies to ensure tenants understand their rights and the redevelopment process, facilitating informed decision-making.
Stakeholder Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with local committees, politicians, and community leaders to garner support for redevelopment initiatives.
Collaborate with local government and community organizations to address any resistance and create a supportive environment for redevelopment.
Project Coordination and Oversight:
Coordinate all tenant affairs related to redevelopment projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.
Facilitate discussions and negotiations between tenants, project management teams, and stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve consensus.
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for tenant interactions during redevelopment, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
Ensure adherance to all SOPs, Targets set for the tenant affairs team and highlight any deviation from the target to the top management.
Team Management:
Develop strategies and assign target to the team to manage any tenant affairs related challenges and issues
Monitor performance of the team in closing the issues and restrategize in case of any deviations from the plan.
Support the team during handling of complex challenges to build the capability of the team
Complaint and Conflict Resolution:
Proactively manage and resolve tenant complaints and conflicts related to redevelopment, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
Conduct regular community meetings to gather feedback, address concerns, and foster a sense of community among tenants during the transition period.
Compliance and Regulatory Management:
Ensure that all tenant affairs comply with relevant regulations, local laws, and redevelopment policies.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of tenant-related processes to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Community Building and Support:
Foster a sense of community among tenants throughout the redevelopment process, encouraging collaboration and support among residents.
Organize community events and initiatives to strengthen relationships and enhance tenant engagement during the redevelopment transition.
Evacuation Strategy and Rehabilitation:
Develop comprehensive evacuation strategies to ensure a smooth transition for tenants during the redevelopment process, including relocation planning and timelines.
Oversee rehabilitation initiatives for displaced tenants, providing support and assistance to help them reintegrate into the community post-redevelopment.
