Job Description
Overview The SQL Database Developer is to work within Data & Analytics team of developers in the delivery of current and emerging business requirements. You will bring your knowledge, expertise and work ethic in the fast-paced environment using Agile/Scrum methodology. This is a hands-on role requiring in-depth knowledge in SQL Server application development, project experience and project life cycle. Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic Focus

- Prompt identification of issues, potential red flags and problem solving to protect project schedules and budgets
- Identifying and evaluating potential business process improvements as part of overall strategy with a view to enhance productivity and profitability
- Strong presentation and excellent communication skills including written and verbal
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and clients at all levels.
- Degree-educated or relevant professional qualifications are desirable but not essential
- Significant experience leading programs of work focusing on transformation efficiency
- Excellent organisational skills - Can quickly and effectively mobilise both time and resources to get things done
- A track record in and/or proven ability to work on the delivery of programs of works Experience & Personal Attributes
- /MCA qualifications in Information Technology
- 6-10 years of development experience with Microsoft SQL Server stack
- Strong knowledge of Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Working experience ETL principals and techniques
- A good understanding of data modelling and database schema design principals
- Data normalization
- Knowledge of database optimization techniques
- Exceptional analytical skills in order to analyse and interpret business needs, and to provide constructive input into the development and technology solutions
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Visual Studio Team Systems Database Edition; SSDT
- Team Foundation Server
- Exposure to cloud technologies, ., Microsoft Azure, AWS
- Knowledge in Banking and Financial Services will be added advantage
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective inter-departmental and organisational relationships
- Sound organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks in order to meet strict deadlines
