Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive Senior Systems Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, along with working knowledge of AWS and Linux environments. This role involves end-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure, incident management, automation, and system reliability, while also contributing to team development and collaboration.


Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Operations
• Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud environments (Compute, Storage,Networking, Security).
• Manage IaaS and PaaS services, including virtual machines, databases, and identity services.
• Support AWS environments and assist with multi-cloud operations and migrations.
• Administer Azure Active Directory, SSO, and access management systems.


Incident Management & System Reliability
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive critical incident reports.
• Monitor and reduce incident resolution time (MTTR) to ensure high system availability.
• Ensure high backup success rates and implement robust disaster recovery strategies.
• Participate in on-call support for critical system issues.


Performance & Cost Optimization
• Optimize Azure cloud costs through efficient resource allocation and usagemonitoring.
• Track and improve system performance metrics, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Continuously enhance infrastructure efficiency and uptime.Automation & DevOps
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks and improve operationalefficiency.
• Utilize scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation and system management.


Networking, Security & Compliance
• Manage networking components including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and routing.
• Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards.
• Participate in compliance audits and maintain audit readiness.
• Implement access control, monitoring, and security policies across environments.


Team Collaboration, Delivery & Leadership
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, product, security) to ensure smooth delivery.
• Contribute to team synergy and collaboration, incorporating feedback to improve effectiveness.
• Ensure consistent achievement of project milestones and timelines.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members for skill development.
• Demonstrate ownership and leadership, driving team performance and successful outcomes.


Required Skills
Cloud & Infrastructure
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud, including cloud infrastructure management, deployment, monitoring, networking, storage, and security services. Proficient Linux Administrator with hands-on experience in server management, system configuration, troubleshooting, patching, shell scripting, and production support.
• Working knowledge of AWS core services
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Terraform – preferred)


Linux & Scripting
• Proficiency in Linux administration (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL)
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell; Python is a plus)


Networking & Security
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, subnetting
• Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, GPOs
• Knowledge of cloud security and compliance frameworks


Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in cloud/infrastructure engineering


Preferred Certifications:
• Azure (AZ-104, AZ-303)
• AWS (Solutions Architect / Cloud Practitioner)
• Linux (RHCSA / LPIC)
• Networking (CCNA)
