AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team is looking for a Deputy Designer - Highways BIM (AutoCad) - (UK/US/Middle East Projects) to join our team in Bengaluru/Gurugram .

Job Description
Develop and manage 2D drawings and 3D corridor models, surfaces and alignments for highway and land development projects using Autodesk Civil 3D (grading, roads, drainage, utilities)
Prepare plan, profile, and cross-section drawings for roads and associated infrastructure
Perform grading design and earthwork modeling for highways and site development
Prepare site layout plans, grading plans, and utility drawings, Signs and marking layout, Pavement layout, Longitudinal section, Typical/ Running section etc.
Support drainage and utility modeling (stormwater, underground services coordination)
Work closely with engineers and lead designers to interpret design inputs and implement changes
Assist engineers in design modifications and updates
Ensure compliance with project CAD standards and BIM requirements
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (planning, drainage, utilities) to resolve clashes and design issues
Assist in model reviews, QA/QC checks, and deliverable submissions
Autodesk Civil 3D
AutoCAD
Exposure to ProjectWise, ACC or similar CDE platforms (preferred)
Basic understanding of BIM workflows and coordination tools
Strong expertise in highway corridor modeling and surface creation
Good understanding of road design standards (UK / DMRB / US/Canada/ANZ standards preferred)
Ability to handle large-scale models and data shortcuts effiiciently
Knowledge of grading, drainage, and utility coordination
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight project deadlines
proficiency in surface modeling and earthwork calculations
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Good coordination and communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Experience working on UK highways or US Canada projects
Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial site development projects
Familiarity with client standards and international design practices
Civil 3D corridor and surface models
Highway drawings (plans, profiles, sections)
Earthwork and quantity reports
Coordinated design models for multidisciplinary integration
Site grading and utility models
Layout drawings and detailed design sheets
Quantity take-off's and reports
Coordinated design outputs for construction
Diploma / bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
3+ years of experience in highways / land development modeling
