This team creates new design patterns reflecting the brand’s growth in digital products, along with innovative experiences that raise user expectations within the health-focused digital world. Their goal is to provide clear, consistent design standards for all products related to health plans and services, while also broadening their scope to include the perspectives of customers, clients, and providers.\n\nRoles and Responsibilities\n\nShape and evolve experience strategies that fuse business outcomes, human needs, and intelligent systems , ensuring design decisions scale with both organizational ambition and emerging technologies.\nArchitect future ready design systems that are modular, token driven, and resilient—enabling consistency across products, platforms, and AI generated interfaces.\nOwn the creation, evolution, and governance of enterprise grade design systems and component ecosystems , designed to operate seamlessly across human and AI authored experiences.\nAdvance design token architectures as a strategic layer—bridging brand, UX, and engineering while enabling automation, theming, and personalization at scale.\nLead the adoption of atomic, composable, and responsive design principles that support adaptive layouts, multidevice experiences, and AI assisted UI generation.\nExplore and integrate AI powered design capabilities —including generative UI, intelligent layouts, and design copilots—to accelerate ideation and elevate experience quality.\nChampion personalized, predictive, and automated UX , leveraging data, behavioral signals, and machine learning to anticipate user needs before they are explicitly expressed.\nPartner closely with data science, AI, and engineering teams to prototype, validate, and ship intelligent features that blend human creativity with machine intelligence.\nCraft exceptionally refined, high fidelity interfaces with precision, clarity, and visual excellence—setting a high bar for both aesthetic quality and usability.\nEmbed accessibility and inclusive design into every layer of the system, ensuring intelligent experiences remain ethical, equitable, and human ‑centered.\nDrive a culture of continuous discovery and experimentation , using usability testing, telemetry, and AI driven insights to iteratively improve experiences.\nClearly articulate design intent, system thinking, and AI driven decisions to stakeholders—translating complexity into clarity and influence.\nMentor and elevate designers, fostering a team that blends craft mastery, systems thinking, and AI fluency , while encouraging experimentation and innovation.\nCollaborate deeply with engineering partners to ensure pixel perfect execution , performance, and scalability from concept to production.\nLeverage advanced design platforms (e.g., Figma and emerging AI enabled tools) to design, automate, document, and manage design assets at scale.\nStay ahead of the curve by continuously exploring emerging UX patterns, AI technologies, ethical design practices, and system driven methodologies —and applying them thoughtfully to real world products.\n\nQualifications\nRequired Experience\n11–13 years of professional experience , with 9+ years in UX/product design , including deep ownership of design systems, scalable UI architecture, and token‑based frameworks.\nProven experience designing, shipping, and evolving complex enterprise experiences , spanning strategy, systems thinking, and hands‑on execution.\nDemonstrated mastery of visual design, interaction design, and detail‑oriented craft , with the ability to set and maintain a high bar for quality at scale.\nStrong command of UX best practices, human‑centered design principles, and accessibility standards , with a commitment to inclusive and ethical design.\nAdvanced proficiency with modern design tools and platforms (Figma strongly preferred), including component libraries, design tokens, and system documentation.\nHands‑on experience building, governing, and evolving design systems and component ecosystems for large, multi‑team or multi‑product environments.\nWorking knowledge of AI‑enabled design workflows and tools (e.g., Cursor, AI copilots, generative UI concepts), with curiosity and initiative to apply them meaningfully to design practice.\nSolid understanding of responsive design, atomic/composable design principles , and system‑driven UI patterns that support automation and scale.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with engineering, data science, and product teams , translating design intent into buildable, intelligent experiences.\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale, system decisions, and AI‑influenced trade‑offs to diverse stakeholders.\nBachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience demonstrating design leadership and impact.\nA growth mindset with
