Skillsoft accelerates growth in India, and we’re hiring an experienced Senior Field & Event Marketing Manager based in India to craft and execute Field Marketing and campaign strategy alongside a Field Marketing Manager. In this exciting Individual Contributor role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the current Field Marketing Manager resource. You’ll own India’s event strategy, budgets, stakeholder relationships, and reporting, while partnering closely with India sales leadership and global marketing to run integrated demand generation programs for the region. Key Responsibilities
- India Event Strategy Ownership: Build and own the India events plan (field events, executive roundtables, customer/partner forums, industry conferences) aligned to regional pipeline targets and priority accounts
- Demand Gen Program Leadership (India): Partner with India sales to create integrated demand gen strategy around events (pre-event outreach, account-based invites, nurture, BDR/sales follow-up) that drive qualified meetings and sourced/influenced pipeline
- Sales & BDR Alignment: Align sales and BDR teams to a single mission-focused direction for roles & responsibilities, follow-up strategy, and clear handoffs to ensure engagement is effectively converted into meetings and opportunities
- Budget, Vendors & Procurement: Own India field marketing budgets and forecasting; negotiate with venues and suppliers as-needed alongside the Field Marketing Manager
- Measurement & Pipeline Attribution: Define success metrics (registrations, attendance, meeting set, lead/opportunity contribution, pipeline sourced/influenced); track performance in CRM/marketing automation; and share clear readouts and recommendations
- Stakeholder Relations: Be the key point of contact for Skillsoft APAC stakeholder relationship with India regional VP of Sales and EVP of APAC Sales. Responsible for reporting, building trust, and ensuring clear and effective communication at all times
- 12+ years of professional B2B Marketing Strategy experience, with deep ownership of in-person events/field marketing programs in India (enterprise/SaaS preferred)
- Expert understanding of India enterprise buyer journeys, tech marketing channels, and regional nuances across major metros (e.g., Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Pune)
- Experience in and ability to independently run complex event programs end-to-end and influence senior stakeholders (sales leaders, executives, partners) without direct authority
- Excellent program management skills (communications, budgets, timelines, vendors, risk management) with a strong bias for measurable outcomes and continuous optimization
- SaaS or enterprise technology marketing experience strongly preferred, including familiarity with long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder buying committees
- Strong event production instincts and vendor/agency negotiation skills (AV, fabrication, experiential, F&B, venues) with attention to detail and brand standards
- ABM and digital campaign experience required, with a track record of integrating these motions with in-person events to drive pipeline
- Superb written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple internal stakeholders, set and align to stakeholder expectations, and provide concise reporting
- Ability to travel across India as needed for events (typically up to 25–35%)
