Job Description

The position is responsible for managing and developing Commercial business in the respective category; play leading role in sourcing and contract management. The position is required to liaise closely with internal sales/operations team and relevant support functions in order to drive efficient operations and revenue goal and deliver core promises to the professional customers. The Manager Commercial is responsible to research and purchase products for resale at retail stores or company s online sales channels.


MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

Functional responsibilities and Key Job Activities.


1 Manage financial results of Commercial Category (sales and operating income). Ensure the results are as per set targets. Be able to understand the Market to provide the right assortment to the right customer. Assesses financial risks of purchases.

2 Attends trade shows, product exhibitions, and conferences to maintain understanding of new products and trends. Responsible for Sales, Profit and other income which needs to be monitored on daily budget. Performance review Month-to-date, Year-To-Date by store, by category by customer and yearly budgeting (Sales, margin, other income) by buyer by customer.

3 Prepare business report analysis, analyse sales by Category, by Supplier vs Market, and Sales & Margin Update. Review forecast with SCM. Oversees and maintains inventory. 4 Negotiate with all suppliers for monthly/ quarterly/ annual targets. Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers. Support all E-com, BDA and any other multi-channel sales activities.

5 Adhere to the Pricing policy and price structure by considering relevant factors and ensure proper implementation.

6 Conduct regular assortment review and the implementation for new store, new product, core product for store type, item performance review, etc.

7 Determine innovative promotions and solutions to serve customers needs, market advantages, market competitiveness and sales recovery that make profitable category revenue opportunity in close co-ordination with Customer Development team.

8 Enforce the execution of compliance policies, quality assurance processes, product laws and assure the implementation meet standards. Ensure adherence to departmental Standard Operating Procedures and policies to reduce operational risks.

9 Coach immediate team, liaise with larger organization and suppliers to ensure results as per set strategic direction and each year budget. May act in place of the director of purchasing as required and authorized.

10 Researches, analyses, and forecasts current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products with attention to specified target market and demographics
