Company: Cemindia Projects Limited\nLocation: Corporate Office, Mumbai\nDepartment: Commercial\nReporting To: Head – Commercial / Management\nPosition Summary\nCemindia Projects Limited is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager with 12–15 years of experience in commercial operations, contract management, procurement coordination, cost control, and project commercial functions. The incumbent will be responsible for managing commercial activities across projects, ensuring contractual compliance, optimizing costs, mitigating commercial risks, and supporting project profitability.\nKey Responsibilities\nCommercial & Contract Management\nManage end-to-end commercial activities for ongoing and upcoming projects.\nReview, negotiate, and administer contracts, subcontracts, work orders, and service agreements.\nEnsure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.\nIdentify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.\nCost Control & Budget Monitoring\nMonitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow.\nAnalyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.\nSupport preparation of project cost estimates and commercial proposals.\nDrive cost optimization initiatives across projects.\nProcurement & Vendor Management\nCoordinate with procurement teams for sourcing and contracting activities.\nEvaluate commercial bids and participate in vendor negotiations.\nEnsure timely finalization of contracts and purchase orders.\nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors.\nBilling & Claims Management\nMonitor customer billing, certification, and collections.\nReview contractor bills and payment recommendations.\nManage variation orders, claims, and commercial correspondences.\nSupport resolution of commercial disputes and contract-related issues.\nProject Coordination\nWork closely with project, engineering, finance, and procurement teams.\nTrack project commercial performance and profitability.\nEnsure proper documentation and record management for audits and compliance.\nMIS & Reporting\nPrepare commercial MIS reports for management review.\nPresent project-wise cost, revenue, billing, and collection status.\nProvide commercial insights for strategic decision-making.\nCompliance & Governance\nEnsure adherence to statutory, legal, and contractual requirements.\nSupport internal and external audits.\nMaintain commercial documentation and records in line with company standards.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Business Administration.\nMBA (Finance/Operations), PGDBM, or equivalent qualification preferred.\nAdditional certifications in Contracts Management, Procurement, or Project Management will be an advantage.\nExperience\n12–15 years of experience in commercial management, contracts, procurement, and project commercial functions.\nExperience in industrial, infrastructure, EPC, construction, cement, power, steel, port, or manufacturing sectors preferred.\nProven track record in handling large-value contracts and commercial negotiations.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong knowledge of contract management, commercial terms, and project costing.\nUnderstanding of procurement processes and vendor management.\nWorking knowledge of GST, taxation, and commercial compliance.\nProficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office.\nKey Competencies\nCommercial acumen and business understanding.\nContract negotiation and stakeholder management.\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills.\nFinancial and cost management capability.\nLeadership and team coordination.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
