Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bengaluru for a US Accounting and Tax Manager. The role involves overseeing US tax compliance and planning for clients, including reviewing and managing the preparation of federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. The manager will supervise day-to-day accounting activities, including review of financial statements, general ledger reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing processes in line with US GAAP. Responsibilities include identifying tax-saving opportunities, monitoring changes in US tax law, and advising clients on the impact of new regulations. The role also includes coordinating with internal teams, mentoring junior staff, managing client communications and timelines, and ensuring high-quality, timely deliverables.
Qualifications
- Strong US tax skills, including Tax Planning, Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and understanding of overall Tax concepts.
- Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing Financial Statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Experience with US federal and multi-state tax returns for entities and individuals, including exposure to cross-border or international tax matters.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements, prioritize deadlines, and lead a small team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CA, EA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- Hands-on experience with accounting and tax software, and strong MS Excel skills.
- Willingness to work with US time zones as needed and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clients.
