Job Description
- Review tender documents, GA drawings, technical specifications, and client requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for new vessel construction (hull, machinery, outfitting, electrical, and systems).
- Estimate steel weight, equipment costs, fabrication costs, and yard overheads.
- Coordinate with design, planning, and production departments for accurate inputs.
- Obtain quotations from OEMs, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Prepare commercial proposals, bid documents, and price breakdowns.
- Analyze risks and contingencies in shipbuilding projects.
- Estimate costs for hull repairs, machinery overhauls, piping, electrical works, blasting and painting, and steel renewal.
- Coordinate with vendors for repair quotes and service costs.
- Prepare repair quotations, variation estimates, and additional work costing.
- Support project team during execution with cost monitoring.
Ship Repair & Refit Estimation
Study repair scope, inspection reports, and dry dock specifications.
