Senior Chemist

Position Title: Senior Chemist-1

Location (city & State/Country): India/Tamil Nadu/Chennai/Ambattur

Position Overview

• The Chemical laboratory is key to successful product development, competent customer service and sustainable method development of analysis techniques used in production units globally
• .Qualified research and laboratory environment where daily interaction with researchers, engineers and laboratory personnel globally takes place
• .He / She is expected to support development/research/process engineers and analytical lab

.Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory experiments in compliance with established procedures and international standards ASTM / ISO
• ;Can handle XRF, OES, Leco ON, Leco CS, Moisture and ICPOES equipment’s
• Perform data review and audits and write technical reports from results
• .Work closely with internal customer requirements
• .Generate routine reports on laboratory experiments
• .Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• .Support ISO documentations and maintenance
• Maintain laboratory equipment and tools in clean, safe and good conditions
• .Follow preventive maintenance procedures and notify maintenance personnel on any equipment repairs and malfunctions
• .Follow proper waste disposal and recycling methodologies, Adhere to Safety Regulations

1. -Running lab trials with the concepts developed to meet the new product requirements in terms of quality, cost and timeline

Qualifications

1. Chemistry or Material Science Graduate. (M.Sc. or B. Tech)Min of 5 years’ experience in relevant equipment and environment.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills, work with cross functional te ams
3. Very good team player; Flexibility (Shift timing / Working hrs.)
4. Good Problem-Solving, Interpersonal skills & Solution orien ted
5. Ability to multitask and prioritize. Should be diligent in contribution for taking decision Creative and analytical skills

Language Capabilities

• Fluent in English (read, write, speak)
• Education Requirem ents Chemistry or Material Science Graduate. (M.Sc. or B. Tech)
• Technical Requirements Experience in handing XRF, OES, Leco ON, Leco CS, Moisture and ICPOES equipment’s individually Good knowledge on minerals and steels characterization High level of interpretation skills

Experience Requirements

• Should have >5 years’ experience in the chem lab / research work in the welding / similar industry
• Proven track record in test method development and calibration in handling XRF and ICPOES equipment‘s

Mobility & Travel Require

• Willing to travel onsite for global requirements if needed
