Head – Human Resources (Manufacturing & Corporate)
Position Summary
The Head – Human Resources will lead and manage the entire HR function across manufacturing plants and corporate offices. The role requires a strategic HR leader who can independently drive people initiatives, make critical decisions, ensure statutory compliance, build organizational capability, and align HR practices with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and business growth plans.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on people, culture, and organizational matters.
Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management initiatives.
Drive organizational transformation, change management, and employee engagement programs.
HR Operations & Governance
Own and manage the complete HR lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, employee relations, and exit management.
Establish and continuously improve HR policies, systems, and processes.
Ensure compliance with all labor laws, statutory regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
Drive HR digitization and process automation initiatives.
Talent Acquisition & Development
Lead end-to-end recruitment strategies for manufacturing and corporate functions.
Build leadership pipelines and develop high-potential talent.
Design and implement competency frameworks, career progression plans, and learning programs.
Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
Maintain healthy employee relations across manufacturing and corporate locations.
Manage industrial relations, union interactions, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes where applicable.
Foster a positive, productive, and inclusive work culture.
Performance & Rewards
Drive performance management systems and ensure a high-performance culture.
Oversee compensation benchmarking, salary reviews, incentive programs, and employee recognition initiatives.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure adherence to all applicable labor laws, factory regulations, and statutory requirements.
Conduct audits and ensure compliance readiness across locations.
Mitigate people-related risks through proactive HR interventions.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team.
Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the HR function.
Key Requirements
Education
MBA / PGDM in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, or equivalent.
Experience
15–20+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant exposure to manufacturing organizations.
Proven experience leading both Corporate HR and Plant HR functions.
Strong experience in industrial relations, labor law compliance, talent management, and organizational development.
Experience working closely with senior leadership and business heads.
Competencies
Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to independently manage the entire HR function with minimal supervision.
Strategic thinking combined with strong operational execution.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities.
