Role Overview The Senior Manager – Business Finance will be responsible for driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring effective cost management across business operations.
This role requires strong analytical capabilities, deep understanding of operational metrics, and hands-on experience in cost optimisation. Experience within delivery, logistics, supply-chain, or similar operations-heavy businesses is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities 1.
Financial Planning & Analysis * Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for business units. * Analyse financial performance, variance analysis, and identify actionable insights. * Provide financial models, dashboards, and profitability analyses to support business decisions.
2. Cost Management & Optimisation * Conduct periodic cost reviews across operational functions. * Identify cost leakages and implement initiatives for cost efficiency and margin improvement.
* Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Delivery, etc.) to track and optimise key cost drivers. 3. Business Performance Monitoring * Develop and monitor KPIs related to delivery operations, cost per order, productivity, utilisation, and compliance.
* Prepare monthly/quarterly business review presentations for leadership. 4. Operational Finance Support * Work closely with operations leadership to understand ground-level processes and financial impact.
* Evaluate operational initiatives, new launches, and projects from a financial standpoint. * Support contract negotiations, pricing, and vendor cost structures. 5.
Reporting & Compliance * Ensure timely and accurate MIS, financial reports, and dashboards. * Drive process improvements and enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency. * Ensure financial governance, internal controls, and audit readiness.
Must-Have * Minimum 4 years of experience in Business Finance, FP&A, or Operational Finance. * Master’s in business (Finance/Strategy) or CA preferred. * Strong understanding of delivery/logistics/operations business models.
* Proven experience in cost analysis, cost optimisation, and financial modelling. * Proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, dashboards, and analytical tools. * Ability to work with large data sets and derive meaningful insights.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. * Experience in high-growth or tech-enabled delivery businesses (e.g., logistics, e-commerce, hyperlocal, supply chain). "
