Faculty – Business Analysis & Business Process Re-engineering (BA/BPR)
Position Overview
PIBM (Pune Institute of Business Management) is seeking accomplished practitioner-academics with substantial industry experience in Business Analysis and Business Process Re-engineering (BPR). The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in business transformation initiatives and be capable of bridging industry practices with classroom learning through experiential pedagogy, live projects, case studies, simulations, and consulting-oriented assignments.
The role requires a professional who has actively contributed to business analysis, requirements management, process optimization, and organizational transformation projects and can effectively mentor students in developing industry-ready BA/BPR competencies.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on industry experience in one or more of the following roles:
- Business Analyst
- Senior Business Analyst
- Functional Business Analyst
- Process Analyst
- Business Process Consultant
- Process Transformation Consultant
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Requirements gathering and elicitation
- Stakeholder management
- Business Requirements Document (BRD) preparation
- Process mapping and process improvement
- As-Is and To-Be process analysis
- Business case development and evaluation
- Change and transformation initiatives
- Strong capability to deliver application-oriented learning through:
- Industry case studies
- Workshops and simulations
- Templates and frameworks
- Live projects
- Student consulting assignments
Preferred Certifications
- CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) – Highly Preferred
- CCBA (Certification of Capability in Business Analysis) – Acceptable
- Candidates possessing only ECBA certification without relevant industry experience will not be considered.

- Business transformation project management
Student Development & Mentorship
The faculty member must guide students in developing professional-quality deliverables, including:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)

- Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs)
- KPI Trees and Measurement Frameworks

The expectation is to mentor students in producing industry-standard artefacts that mirror real-world consulting and transformation projects.
