Role Overview
As the Head of Sales, you will be the primary architect of our commercial growth. You will transition the company from early-stage pilot sales to becoming a preferred supplier for global brands in packaging, agriculture, and consumer goods. Your focus will be on securing long-term supply contracts and building a high-performance sales engine.
Key Responsibilities
%CF; Strategic Tie-ups: Identify and secure \"High Ticket\" annual contracts with FMCG giants, E
commerce players, and large-scale plastic converters.
%CF; Revenue Optimization: Shift from transactional sales to high-margin, specialized compounding
solutions. Implement value-based pricing rather than commodity-based pricing.
%CF; Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and lead a technically-proficient sales team capable of
explaining MFI (Melt Flow Index), tensile strength, and compostability standards.
%CF; Channel Development: Establish a robust distributor network for regional markets while
maintaining direct relationships with Tier-1 accounts.
%CF; Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of plastic ban regulations and global raw material (PBAT/PLA)
price volatility to protect margins.
%CF; Ecosystem & Channel Management: Build a \"Circular Economy\" network by partnering with
converters, molders, and waste management firms to ensure the end-of-life success of our
materials.
Required Experience & Education
%CF; Education: * B.Tech/B.E. in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science (Non
negotiable for technical credibility).
%CF; MBA from a Tier-1 institute (Preferred for strategic and financial acumen).
%CF; Experience: 12–15+ years in B2B sales within the Polymer, Specialty Chemicals, or Flexible
Packaging industry.
%CF; Track Record: Proven success in \"zero-to-one\" sales environments or scaling a business unit
from $1M to $10M+.
