Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly driven and detail-oriented Associate – Founder's Office to work closely with the leadership team on finance, compliance, operational strategy, and business planning initiatives. This role offers direct exposure to business decision-making and organizational growth.
The individual will be responsible for building financial models, managing P&L, preparing investor materials, forecasting business performance, and driving data-backed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Own end-to-end financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial projections.
Prepare management dashboards and MIS reports for leadership review.
Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable business insights.
Monitor key financial and operational KPIs.
P&L Management
Manage and track company-wide Profit & Loss statements.
Analyze revenue streams, margins, costs, and profitability.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
Support leadership in strategic financial decision-making.
Investor Relations & Fundraising
Prepare investor decks, financial models, and fundraising materials.
Assist in fundraising activities, due diligence, and investor communications.
Coordinate with potential investors, VCs, angel networks, and strategic partners.
Maintain investor reporting and performance updates.
Support valuation exercises and capital-raising initiatives.
Strategic Finance
Build business plans and long-term growth projections.
Conduct market sizing, competitor analysis, and financial feasibility studies.
Evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion plans.
Support M&A, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities as required.
Finance Operations & Compliance
Oversee cash flow management and working capital planning.
Coordinate with finance, legal, and compliance stakeholders.
Ensure timely financial reporting and statutory compliance.
Work closely with auditors, consultants, and external advisors.
Founder's Office Responsibilities
Partner directly with the Founder on strategic initiatives.
Prepare board meeting presentations and business reviews.
Drive special projects across finance, operations, and growth functions.
Act as a key liaison between leadership and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications:
Masters's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or related field.
MBA Finance / CA Inter / CMA candidates preferred.
2–5 years of experience in finance, compliance, founder's office, or business operations.
Strong understanding of payroll, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
