Job Description

We help international students and skilled migrants in Australia break into corporate roles they were told were out of reach. We've placed 70+ clients into roles across data, engineering, IT, marketing, and clinical research — most with no local experience and no network when they started. We move fast, we're systems-driven, and we care about outcomes, not vanity.

The role

As Career Branding Strategist, you own how our clients are perceived by the Australian job market. You take someone with real ability but poor positioning and rebuild their entire professional brand so recruiters and hiring managers see them clearly and want to talk. You'll work directly with clients and alongside our coaching team to turn raw background into a sharp, hireable narrative.

This is a strategy and execution role. You think about positioning, then you write the assets that make it real.

What you'll do
  • Build personal brand strategy for individual clients — their core positioning, target roles, and the story that connects their background to the Australian market.
  • Rewrite and optimise LinkedIn profiles, SEEK profiles, and resumes so they're search-friendly and conversion-friendly.
  • Craft client-facing content and narrative — the about section, headlines, and the way they talk about themselves in outreach and interviews.
  • Audit a client's current presence and produce a clear before/after plan with measurable goals (profile views, recruiter inMails, interview invites).
  • Work from our existing playbooks and design systems, and help improve them as you find what works.
  • Collaborate with coaches to make sure branding, outreach, and interview prep tell one coherent story.

Who you are
  • You're an exceptional writer who can make someone sound impressive without sounding fake.
  • You understand how LinkedIn and the modern hiring funnel actually work — keywords, recruiter behaviour, what gets a profile surfaced and clicked.
  • You think in positioning: you can look at a messy background and instantly see the angle that makes it valuable.
  • You're comfortable working directly with clients and giving them honest, useful direction.
  • You're organised and self-driven — this is a remote role with real ownership, so you manage your own output.
  • Bonus: you understand the international student / skilled migrant experience in Australia, or have navigated a job market as an outsider yourself.

Nice to have
  • Experience in career coaching, recruitment, personal branding, or content strategy.
  • Familiarity with the Australian job market, SEEK, and how local recruiters screen candidates.
  • A portfolio of profiles, resumes, or brands you've rebuilt — ideally with outcomes attached.

What you get
  • Direct, visible impact — you'll see clients land interviews and offers because of your work.
  • Real ownership of a function, not a narrow task inside a big team.
  • A fast-moving, founder-led environment where good ideas ship.
  • Remote flexibility.

How to apply

Send your application with:

  • A short note on a time you repositioned someone (or yourself) and it led to a real outcome — an interview, an offer, a callback.
  • One example: a LinkedIn \"About\" section or headline you'd write for a recent Australian graduate with a strong data analytics background but zero local experience. Keep it under 150 words.

Applications without #2 won't be reviewed — it's how we know you can actually do the work.
