Job Description for Testing Unit
- Senior Officer (SO): (Total Experience 5 Years, in software testing in banking industry)
We are seeking UAT testers, supporting the test manger and capable of working across various banking operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for multiple banking operations systems and projects, as assigned by UAT Lead / test manager.
- Review business requirements, functional specifications, and process documentation to develop effective UAT test cases and scripts.
- Perform hands-on execution of test cases, document results, and escalate issues or defects as needed.
- Collaborate with business users, project managers, and IT teams to clarify requirements, understand system changes, and ensure test coverage.
- Log, track, and retest defects in line with established defect management processes.
- Participate in UAT planning, test data preparation, and environment setup.
- Support UAT sign-off by providing clear evidence of test execution and results.
- Provide timely status updates and highlight risks or blockers to the UAT Lead or test manager.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of UAT processes, templates, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, UAT, or quality assurance (ideally in banking/financial services) or, candidates with banking operation experience are to be consider as well.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and UAT processes.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM) is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Attributes:
- Willingness to learn new banking domains and adapt to different project needs.
- Basic understanding of banking operations (e.g., payments, deposits, loans, customer service) is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Experience working in Agile or Waterfall project environments.
