- Senior Oracle Apps Technical Developer
- Senior Oracle Apps Technical Developer
- Independently design, develop, and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) technical solutions
- Work closely with client stakeholders, functional consultants, and business users to understand requirements and propose optimal technical solutions
- Develop and customize RICEW components:
- Reports using Oracle Reports / BI Publisher
- Interfaces (Inbound/Outbound) using PL/SQL, XML, APIs, Web Services
- Conversions and Extensions
- Custom Forms and Forms Personalization
- Oracle Workflows
- Write, review, and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers
- Perform SQL and PL/SQL query tuning to improve application performance, including:
- Identifying performance bottlenecks
- Optimizing joins, indexes, and execution plans
- Using EXPLAIN PLAN, TKPROF, SQL Trace
- Improving long-running concurrent programs and reports
- Conduct technical impact analysis and provide solution approaches for enhancements and change requests
- Handle data migration, data correction, and bulk data processing efficiently
- Support production issues, performance incidents, and root cause analysis
- Assist in Oracle EBS upgrades, patching, and regression testing
- Prepare and review technical design documents, unit test cases, and deployment plans
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, performance best practices, and security guidelines
- Mentor junior developers and review code for quality and performance
- Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS R12 preferred)
- PL/SQL (advanced level)
- SQL performance tuning and optimization
- Oracle Forms & Reports
- BI Publisher (XML, RTF templates)
- Workflow Builder
- Hands-on experience with RICEW development
- Strong understanding of EBS data model and table relationships
- Experience tuning:
- Concurrent programs
- Reports and interfaces
- High-volume transactional queries
- Experience with at least one Oracle module:
- Financials (AP, AR, GL, FA, CM)
- SCM (OM, PO, INV, WIP)
- HRMS / Payroll (added advantage)
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux, shell scripting
- Experience with Oracle APIs, standard interfaces, and concurrent processing
- Client & Communication Skills
- Proven experience in direct client interaction
- Ability to independently:
- Gather and analyze requirements
- Explain technical and performance-related issues to clients
- Provide solution options and recommendations
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in global delivery / onsite–offshore models
