About The Client:

About The Job:
- We are seeking an experienced SSIS Developer to assist with the upgrade of our SQL Server environment from 2016 to 2025.
- You will be responsible for reviewing, updating, and optimizing existing SSIS packages to ensure compatibility and performance on the new platform.
- This role requires strong expertise in SSIS package design, troubleshooting, data integration, and knowledge of SQL Server SSIS catalog and deployment
- Analyze existing SSIS packages running on SQL Server 2016 and prepare them for re-deployment on SQL Server 2025.
- Identify deprecated or breaking features and refactor packages as needed.
- Optimize data flow and transformations for performance improvements where applicable.
- Assist in converting or upgrading packages related to changes in the new SQL Server version.
- Collaborate closely with DBAs and Test Engineers to understand technical and functional requirements.
- Support deployment activities and provide troubleshooting for execution issues.
- Document package changes, configurations, and deployment processes.
- Adherent to version control and change management policies
- 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining SSIS packages.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services, including project/package deployment models.
- Proficiency in T-SQL and working with SQL Server Agent jobs.
- Experience with SSISDB catalog, logging, error handling, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with SQL Server 2016+ features; ability to learn new SQL Server features quickly.
- Understanding of ETL best practices, data transformations, and data quality concepts.
- Experience with source control tools (Git, TFS, etc.).
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience: - 7 to 8 yrs.
- Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation.
- Prior experience supporting SQL Server upgrades or migrations.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory or other cloud-based ETL tools (a plus).
