System Engineering Program Manager - Hardware

Role Description
We are seeking a technically strong and delivery-focused System Engineering Program Manager to lead end-to-end subsystem development within a complex product environment. This role requires ownership of system engineering activities across cross-functional teams including hardware, software, procurement, and supply chain.
The ideal candidate will come from a strong Product Development (Hardware / Mechanical) background with proven development experience and the ability to manage technically diverse teams. Experience in semiconductor equipment or inspection systems is highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
Own and deliver complete subsystem development from concept through production
Lead cross-functional teams spanning hardware, software, procurement, and supply chain
Define system specifications, requirements, Hardware architecture , System Engineering etc
Drive system engineering activities including design, integration, and validation
Ensure alignment between product requirements and subsystem performance
Conduct performance evaluation, benchmarking, and optimization of system components
Manage program timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to define technical requirements, ensure product goals, quality, and cost targets are met
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
Drive continuous improvement in system design and development processes
Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects and priorities.

Work Experience
Strong background in Mechanical and Electrical engineering with hands-on technical understanding
Proven experience in product development lifecycle (concept to production)
Demonstrated experience owning and delivering complex subsystems
Solid system engineering and system integration experience
Ability to work across multiple engineering domains (HW/SW)
Strong technical program management and team leadership skills
Experience in requirements definition, system architecture, and performance evaluation
Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Desired Skills
Experience in semiconductor equipment industry
Background in inspection systems or related high-precision systems
Familiarity with hardware-software co-design environments
Experience working with global, cross-functional teams
Knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes in product development
Exposure to agile or hybrid development methodologies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Advanced technical certifications or program management certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus
12+ years of experience in engineering Hardware product development
Ability to lead cross-functional technical reviews and drive decision-making.
