Roles & responsibilities
Develop understanding of the data solution by reviewing requirements/user stories, Execution guide and other documents provided by Project Manager.
Assign tasks to team members, monitor their progress, and provide guidance and clarifications as needed.
Defect management using bug tracking tools like ADO, JIRA and participates in continuous defect review process.
Review/ prepare Test plan & approach and get Tool Owner's/Project Manager's sign off.
Provide clarifications, train and mentor associates on a timely basis on industry specific audit and accounting knowledge.
Report test progress and outcomes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of test results.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements working in collaboration with the requirements, development, and project management groups.
Develop test cases by understanding the nuances of the tool and prepare Testing Coverage Matrix against the business requirements/user stories
Collaborate with product owner, business analyst and development teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Develop test strategies for new features ensuring that all edge cases and scenarios are covered.
Continuously improve test processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and test coverage.
Contribute to Team initiatives on Test Automation, Training etc. and encourage team members on the same.
Adhere to applicable framework, follow all the best practices preparer and checker process effectively to attain targeted quality
Open to explore emerging techs, gen AI in testing process Identify opportunities for application and drive higher adoption of emerging tech

This role is for you if you have the below
Educational qualifications
BE/ B.Tech in Computer Science or related discipline or Masters' degree in Finance and Accounting having 4-6 years of prior experience in accounting / auditing concepts.
Good understanding of Data Analytics/software testing concepts
Relevant certification (e.g., ISTQB) is preferred

Mandatory technical & functional skills
Hands-on experience working in Agile environment on manual testing.
Familiarity with ADO/JIRA/Zephyr for tracking defects and managing test cases.
Must have experience working with distributed team members.
Effectively communicate with stakeholders keeping them updated on the progress.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office (with an emphasis on MS Excel skills)
Possessing audit and accounting knowledge with a focus on industry experience, along with a strong understanding of data analytics and software testing concepts, will be considered an added advantage.
