Job Description

Key Responsibilities\nExtract and analyze large volumes of transactional data from Amazon Redshift databases, including both header and detail-level transaction records for restaurant locations.\nDevelop and maintain SAS programs to retrieve data for selected stores, products, pricing scenarios, and business channels.\nPerform monthly, weekly, and ad-hoc Quality Control (QC) validations on Price Mix reporting processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.\nConduct data reconciliation between source systems, Redshift tables, and downstream reporting outputs.\nCalculate and validate key business metrics, including:\nWeighted Average Price (WAP)\nMean (Average) Price\nMode Price\nNet Sales\nGross Sales\nGuest Counts\nUnits Sold\nChannel-Level Performance Metrics\nStore-Level Performance Metrics\nAnalyze pricing trends, promotional impacts, and product mix performance across stores and sales channels.\nBuild SAS-based reporting datasets and analytical outputs to support pricing, revenue, and operational decision-making.\nInvestigate data anomalies and perform root-cause analysis for discrepancies identified during QC reviews.\nCollaborate with business analysts, pricing teams, and data engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions.\nRequired Skills\nStrong experience in SAS Programming (Base SAS, PROC SQL, Macro Programming).\nExperience querying Amazon Redshift, SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational databases.\nStrong SQL development and data manipulation skills.\nExperience working with retail, restaurant, POS, sales, or transactional datasets.\nKnowledge of statistical calculations and pricing analytics.\nExperience performing data validation, reconciliation, and QC testing.\nAbility to analyze large datasets and derive business insights.\nUnderstanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional data models.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\n5+ years of SAS Development and Data Analytics experience.\nExperience with restaurant, retail, or consumer pricing analytics.\nGood to have with BI tool SAS Visual Analytics usage.\nExperience working in cloud-based data environments, including Amazon Redshift\nProfessional Skills\nDemonstrates a positive attitude and a strong sense of ownership in delivering high-quality analytical solutions.\nExhibits patience and attention to detail when understanding business requirements, asking clarifying questions, and translating requirements into technical solutions.\nStrong listening and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business analysts, and technical teams.\nAbility to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nProactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.\nCommitted to maintaining data quality, accuracy, and consistency through thorough validation and QC processes.\nFlexible and adaptable to changing business requirements and priorities.\nStrong analytical thinking and curiosity to investigate data issues and identify root causes.\nTeam-oriented professional who fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.
