Teacher Librarian - Stellar World School (Andheri/Goregaon)

Stellar World School is looking for a passionate and dynamic Teacher Librarian who can foster a love for reading, research, and lifelong learning among students. The ideal candidate will manage the school library effectively while collaborating with teachers to support curriculum and literacy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and organize the school library resources, including books, digital content, and learning materials.
• Promote reading habits and library engagement through storytelling sessions, reading programs, and library activities.
• Assist students and staff in locating and utilizing library resources effectively.
• Support curriculum delivery by collaborating with teachers on research projects and literacy development.
• Maintain library records, cataloguing, circulation, and inventory systems.
• Curate age-appropriate resources and ensure the library environment is welcoming and student-friendly.
• Conduct orientation sessions for students on library usage, digital literacy, and research skills.
• Stay updated with current educational and library management practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Library Science (B.Lib / M.Lib) or equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in a school library setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for reading, storytelling, and student engagement.
• Familiarity with library management software and digital resources.
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators and school leadership.
