Position Summary

A leading healthcare institution in the Caribbean is seeking an experienced Consultant

Neurologist to head its Neurology Department. The role involves providing expert clinical care for

patients with a wide range of neurological disorders, while leading departmental development

and ensuring continuous quality improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to combine

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage neurological conditions including stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson’s

disease, multiple sclerosis, neuropathies, and headache disorders.

• Lead inpatient, outpatient, and emergency neurology services.

• Oversee stroke management, including acute intervention and multidisciplinary

rehabilitation planning.

• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as EEG, EMG, and lumbar punctures.

• Collaborate with neurosurgeons, radiologists, rehabilitation specialists, and other

clinicians for integrated patient care.

• Develop and implement treatment protocols aligned with current best practices.

• Train and mentor medical staff and residents in neurological care.

• Participate in clinical audits, research, and continuing medical education.

• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to hospital quality standards.


1Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognized medical school.

• Postgraduate qualification in Neurology (DM Neurology / MRCP (UK) or equivalent).

• Valid medical license and registration with relevant medical council.

• Minimum 3–4 years of post-specialization clinical experience in neurology.

• Proven expertise in both inpatient and outpatient neurological care.
