Default Claims Specialist - FHA

DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Default Claims Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on experience working direct FHA claims processing. This role requires strong knowledge of HUD/FHA guidelines, including timelines and claim requirements. The candidate will be responsible for managing investor claims efficiently and ensuring compliance with investor guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle investor claims processes across multiple loan types, including HUD/FHA.
- Strong working knowledge of HUD/FHA guidelines, including timelines and claim requirements.
- Proficiency with claims systems (ICE, Proven, or similar)
- Ability to review and validate claim packages, including documentation and data accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and work in a high-volume environment.
- Analyze loan performance data and prepare detailed reports on claim status and recovery outcomes.
- Provide expertise in loan servicing and default management to ensure best practices in investor claims handling.
- Support audit and compliance reviews related to investor claims
- Continuously improve claims processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and investor satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Validate accuracy of all parties, account numbers, and contact information following strict fraud prevention guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Education and Experience:
- Graduate and above
- 3+ years’ experience in Default Servicing Claims.
- Familiarity with investors claim submission requirements and documentation standards.
- Ability to analyze complex loan data and resolve discrepancies.
- Proficiency with mortgage servicing systems and loan servicing platforms.
- Good oral and written skills
