And the collective is always more important than the individual.\n\nRole Introduction\n\nJoining as our first dedicated finance hire, you will take full ownership of the company’s financial operations across multiple entities (UK parent company, Indian and South African subsidiaries, and future entities).\n\nYou will work very closely with our founder, Andrew Browning, to build and scale a finance function that is accurate, efficient, and designed to scale.\n\nThis is not a traditional finance role. Alongside running core finance operations, you will be responsible for designing systems, automations, and processes that eliminate manual work and enable the business to scale without adding unnecessary headcount.\n\nYou will act as both a finance lead and a general operator, taking ownership of problems across the business and driving them to resolution.\n\nWith this wide scope of responsibilities, you will gain deep exposure to how a global, multi-entity business is built and scaled from an early stage.\n\nResponsibilities - What you’ll be doing:\n\nFinancial Operations\nOwn accounts receivable end-to-end, including invoice creation, accuracy, and payment collection\nManage accounts payable, including approval and processing of payments\nOversee and approve payroll across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with invoicing\nEnsure all tax filings and statutory payments are completed accurately and on time\nMaintain accurate financial records and ensure clean, auditable data across all entities\nMaintain alignment between intercompany accounts across all entities\nEnsure accurate recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions\nSupport the development of a clean, scalable multi-entity financial structure\n\nAccountant & Partner Management\nCoordinate and manage external accountants across the UK, India, and South Africa\nStandardise reporting outputs, timelines, and data formats across all entities\nAct as the single point of ownership for all finance-related external relationships\nEnsure accountability and performance from all external partners\n\nFinancial Reporting & Forecasting\nBuild and maintain clear, accurate monthly reporting\nTrack and report on key metrics, including gross vs net revenue, margins, and cash position\nDevelop and maintain financial forecasts, including cash flow and hiring impact\nSupport decision-making through clear, actionable financial insights\n\nSystems, Automation & Product Development\nLead the design and implementation of finance systems and automations that enable the business to scale efficiently without adding unnecessary headcount\nLead the documentation of finance and operational processes, creating SOPs\nIntegrate our platform with Xero to automate invoicing and reduce manual work\nDesign and implement automated workflows for payroll, invoicing, and financial data capture\nDefine and maintain a single source of truth across systems\nWork closely with the product team to design and build new features within our platform that support finance operations\nContinuously identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency through tooling and automation\n\nBroader Operations\nTake ownership of operational problems beyond finance and drive them to resolution\nImprove internal processes across the business\nSupport vendor selection, tooling decisions, and operational scaling efforts\n\nRequirements - What you’ll need to succeed:\nBe a systems thinker and creative problem solver\nVery strong intrinsic desire and ability to drive continual process improvement\nHighly resourceful\nVery strong sense of urgency\nStrong organisational skills\nDeep sense of caring toward your work and the people you do it with\nEagerness to collaborate with others with an orientation for team success over individual\nFluent level of written and verbal English\nHighly detail-oriented\nStrong operational mindset with the ability to own and solve problems end-to-end\nAbility to design, build, and improve systems and processes\nStrong understanding of finance operations (accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, reporting)\nComfort working across multiple entities and jurisdictions\nMinimum 4 years experience in finance\nExperience implementing significant automation and systems within the finance function\nMinimum 2 years experience in a startup or high-growth environment\nExperience working with international businesses or multi-entity structures (preferred)\nExperience with tools such as Xero or similar accounting systems (preferred)\n\nPay & Bonuses - What you’ll get in return:\nGross annual salary - India: 12 – 18 LPA\nCompany laptop provided\n15 days annual leave + public holidays\nOpportunity to grow with a fast-scaling business\nBe part of a fun, dynamic team and work environment\n\nWork Schedule: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 UK [ 13:30 - 22:30 IST]\n\nDevelopment & Progression\nProgress to Head of Finance within 18–24 months depending on performance (tied to key performance indicators)\nProgress to Director / CFO-level role as the business scales, depending on performance\nWork with the founder to define and achieve your own progression goals and targets
