About The Job

• As a Release Lead in our Infrastructure & Cloud Services (ICS) – Simplification Program you will play a key role in helping the Domain to focus to deliver industry-leading banking technology services that provide competitive advantage for our business partners as they work to improve the financial wellbeing of the bank’s customers.
• ICS is also responsible for driving one of Technology’s biggest strategic priorities Accelerated Engineering This role involves Agile ways of working across multiple squads, and will be working with Product Owners, Analysts and Delivery Leads across Domains to convert business initiatives into cross-platform releases of new technology features or enhancements including Cloud migrations.
• You will support and incorporate best practices in asset and services implementation, to enable squads to rapidly, reliably, and efficiently develop, test and release high quality solutions to deliver value for customers.
• You will also provide advice and guidance across the Domain about Change Management and the ANZ Delivery Framework (ADF), applying a collaborative approach to provide mentoring, coaching, and training as you transform release processes to improve delivery and manage inter-Tech Area dependencies.

Essential Job Functions

• provide release management as a service to the simplification program tribe by working closely with simplification program tribe migration leads, simplification program delivery guidance team (ADF), engineers & product owners and manage successful implementations including cloud migrations. develop & communicate simplification program release forecast, identify the impediments impacting the release to escalate & seek support from senior stakeholders.
• plan releases proactively & prioritise simplification program release with the cross-domain/platform release train schedules by negotiating with the appropriate stakeholders.
• create implementation plan, change records & present to appropriate change advisory board (CAB)/business review board (BRB) to obtain change approvals, conduct Implementation plan walkthrough & engage the team members required for the Implementations.
• Lead the coordination and execution of end-to-end release Implementation activities including TVT, BVT, Implementation issues & Hyper-care support. Plan & manage change communications by articulating the change progress including any Implementation issues, throughout the Release to the appropriate Release stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Exp: 8-12 years
• Strong experience in delivering technical releases (e.g. Application/Platform migrations) end-to-end for complex initiatives.
• Experience in Cloud/VMware migrations will be an additional advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in Release, Change & Incident Management and ability to apply across cross-functional teams & platforms.
• Exceptional stakeholder management experience, Negotiation skills
• Experience in priortising & managing Project Backlogs, proactively identify dependencies and risks & develop mitigation plans. Experience in common tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Service Now etc.
• Experience / Certification with Agile and sound knowledge of Scrum and iterative release delivery.
• Able to understand technology principles and tools, to effectively provision and co-ordinate complex interdependencies required for the Technical Release.
• Ability to inform Tribe/Squad prioritisation decisions while establishing and maintaining a high level of customer trust and confidence.
