Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience of at least 1 year working in Cardiac Anesthesia with an in-depth understanding of perioperative patient care requirements in cardiac surgery environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on expertise in anesthesia induction methods and monitoring for cardiac patients undergoing invasive procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently operate anesthesia machines and related medical equipment following strict safety and quality assurance protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for seamless interaction within multidisciplinary surgical and nursing teams in high-pressure situations.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of anesthetic drugs, their pharmacological properties, dosages, and potential complications specific to cardiac procedures.
  • Ability to rapidly assess clinical situations and implement appropriate anesthetic management strategies for complex cardiac cases.
  • Keen attention to continuous patient monitoring, vital sign interpretation, and proactive response to any anesthesia-related complications.
  • Experience in documentation, maintaining patient records, and compliance with institutional and industry regulatory standards.
  • Cardiac Anesthesia (Mandatory skill).


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Administer cardiac anesthesia to patients undergoing various cardiac surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to established protocols and patient safety guidelines.
  • Provide comprehensive pre-operative assessment, including risk evaluation and planning appropriate anesthetic techniques for cardiac cases.
  • Monitor patients physiological status continuously during surgery, utilizing invasive and non-invasive monitoring equipment specific to cardiac care.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, perfusionists, and nursing staff to facilitate coordinated and effective perioperative care.
  • Support anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence, optimizing drug selection based on individual patient requirements and surgical demands.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to perioperative complications or emergencies related to anesthesia, ensuring rapid stabilization and treatment.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and anesthesia-related documentation in compliance with legal and institutional guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives to stay current with advancements in cardiac anesthesia practices.
