Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct nuclear medicine procedures including imaging and therapeutic interventions under the supervision of senior medical staff.
- Prepare, handle, and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to best practice standards and established safety protocols.
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety regulations and protocols to protect patients, staff, and the environment.
- Assist in maintaining and calibrating imaging equipment to guarantee high-quality diagnostic results and safe operations.
- Collect, document, and analyze diagnostics images and data, assisting in report generation and patient consults as required.
- Educate and counsel patients regarding procedures, expected outcomes, and possible side effects of nuclear medicine interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including radiologists, technologists, and referring physicians, to deliver comprehensive care.
- Participate in ongoing quality control, professional development activities, and implement continuous improvements in nuclear medicine practices.
