Production Planning & Control

BHSEL is currently seeking a skilled Production Planning & Control (PPC) Specialist to join our team in the defense and aerospace manufacturing sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in production planning, scheduling, and inventory control within highly regulated industries. As a PPC Specialist, you will play a critical role in optimizing production processes, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
2. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance to ensure alignment of production schedules with overall business objectives.
3. Analyze production capacity and resource availability to identify constraints and optimize production workflows.
4. Monitor and track production progress, identify potential bottlenecks or delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery of products.
5. Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to manage inventory levels, procurement schedules, and production orders.
6. Generate reports and metrics to evaluate production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.
7. Collaborate with engineering teams to incorporate design changes, new product introductions, and process improvements into production plans.
8. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations), in all production planning activities.
9. Continuously assess and optimize production processes to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
10. Provide training and support to production teams on best practices for production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering(Mechanical/Aeronautical preferably), operations management, supply chain management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in production planning and control within the defense or aerospace manufacturing industries is added advantage.
3. Strong knowledge of production planning methodologies, including MRP, MPS (Master Production Scheduling), and JIT (Just-in-Time) principles.
4. Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
6. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex concepts clearly.

Note : Only Manufacturing sector experienced persons should apply.

1. Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
2. Experience in Defense and Aerospace company is mandatory
3. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
