Job Description: As a Patent Associate specializing in electronics and communication with a minimum of two years of experience, you will be responsible for supporting the development and management of our patent portfolio in the field of electronics and communication technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patent Drafting: Prepare high-quality patent applications with clear and comprehensive descriptions of inventions related to electronics and communication systems.
- Patent Prosecution: Assist in patent prosecution by drafting responses to office actions, conducting interviews with patent examiners, and addressing any issues to advance the prosecution process.
- Portfolio Management: Assist in managing our patent portfolio by monitoring patent deadlines, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Technical Expertise: Apply your deep technical knowledge of electronics and communication systems to understand inventions, identify patentable aspects, and effectively communicate with inventors and technical teams.
- Legal Compliance: Stay updated on relevant patent laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks associated with intellectual property rights.
- Collaboration: Work closely with inventors, engineers, attorneys, and other team members to develop and implement effective patent strategies that support the company's innovation goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. Advanced degrees (e.g., Master's or Ph.D.) preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution in the field of electronics and communication technologies.
- Strong understanding of patent laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Patent agent or attorney registration is a plus.
