About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Video Editor to join the creative team at Engage Digital Partners. This role demands a seasoned storyteller who can lead end-to-end video production across sports content, branding campaigns, social media, and long-form formats. You will set the creative and technical benchmark for video output, mentor junior editors, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver content that is platform-smart, emotionally resonant, and consistently world-class. Prior experience working in an agency environment is essential, with exposure to managing multiple clients, fast-paced workflows, and high-volume content delivery.

What You'll Do
Video Editing & Storytelling: Transform raw footage, briefs, and live match moments into compelling, engaging narratives.
Lead end-to-end editing of video content from rough cut to final delivery across sports, brand, social, and long-form formats.
Lead editing efforts across: Short-form content: Reels, Shorts, Social Snippets
Long-form content: Shows, Features, Match Highlights.
Create high-impact edits including Hype Videos, Promos, Teasers & Key Storytelling.
Develop platform native content optimized for audience retention and engagement not simply resized for different platforms.
Mentor and develop editors through feedback, coaching, and best practice sharing to elevate overall team capability.
Adapt content for global audiences, ensuring cultural relevance and platform-specific consumption behavior.
Build content ecosystems by repurposing long-form content into multiple short-form assets.
Ensure consistency in storytelling, quality, tone, style, and brand voice across all outputs.
Translate creative briefs into polished, emotionally engaging video outputs under tight timelines.
Establish benchmarks for quality, storytelling, and turnaround time.
Provide editorial guidance during high-pressure/live sports scenarios.
Improve team workflows and editing processes for scale and efficiency.
Maintain organized project systems, file structures, and version management.
Collaborate closely with content, strategy, and design teams to improve creative ideas and execution.
Make quick editorial decisions and adapt content in real time.
Leverage AI-powered editing and productivity tools to improve workflow efficiency, content scalability, and creative output quality.
Contribute to improving post-production processes, turnaround efficiency, and cross-team collaboration.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and cross-functional teams to align creative output with business objectives and campaign goals.

What You Bring
8+ years of experience in professional video editing, digital content production, digital media, or related creative environments.
8+ years of experience in digital media/digital marketing content production.
Proven expertise in editing both short-form and long-form content.
Advanced proficiency in: Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, etc.) DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro
Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects for motion graphics support.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across sports content, branding campaigns, social/digital, and long-form storytelling.
Strong editorial judgment with the ability to understand what drives engagement and retention.
Experience managing, mentoring, or leading teams of editors.
Deep understanding of platform-native video formats, aspect ratios, and content optimization across Instagram, YouTube, X, and digital channels
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with tight deadlines.
Strong ownership mindset with excellent accountability.
Familiarity with AI-powered editing tools and workflow automation.
Multilingual proficiency is an added advantage.
Prior experience working in an agency environment is essential.

Good to Have
Prior experience in sports media, entertainment, or digital broadcasting.
Strong understanding of platform algorithms and content optimization across Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and OTT/digital channels.
Motion graphics and basic visual effects capability within After Effects or similar tools.
Familiarity with Adobe Audition or equivalent audio post-production tools
Ability to precisely match creative references and deliver consistently under deadlines.
Proficiency in AI-powered video editing and productivity tools to enhance workflow efficiency.
Experience working with live event or real-time sports content production.
