Planning Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Planning Engineer with experience in residential high-rise construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, resource planning, progress tracking, and reporting to ensure timely completion of projects within budget and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Prepare baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project milestones.
• Develop short-term, medium-term, and long-term construction plans.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules.

Monitoring & Control

• Track project performance and identify schedule deviations.
• Analyze delays and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and MIS reports.
• Conduct variance analysis between planned and actual progress.

Resource Planning

• Prepare manpower, material, equipment, and cash flow requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement, contracts, execution, and MEP teams for resource availability.
• Monitor productivity and resource utilization.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, and contractors.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide planning updates.
• Prepare recovery schedules whenever required.
• Maintain planning documentation and project records.

Risk Management

• Identify project risks affecting timelines.
• Develop mitigation plans and recovery strategies.
• Monitor critical path activities and project milestones.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of residential high-rise construction methodology.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Advanced Excel.
• Understanding of project scheduling, resource loading, and project controls.
• Knowledge of construction sequencing, structural, finishing, and MEP activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil) or Diploma.
• Certification in Primavera P6 will be an added advantage.

Preferred Experience

• 3–12 years of Planning experience
• Experience in residential high-rise projects added advantage.
• Exposure to multiple project phases including structure, finishing, and handover.
