Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Officer role based in Bengaluru. The Medical Officer will provide day-to-day clinical care for patients with chronic and complex conditions, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring. Responsibilities include coordinating with specialists and primary care physicians, reviewing medical reports, prescribing appropriate therapies, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. The role includes supervising nursing and allied health staff, guiding patient and family education on disease management, and supporting continuity of care across in-facility, home-based, and rehabilitation services. The Medical Officer will also contribute to care pathway development, participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives, and support training sessions for clinical teams.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical foundation in Medicine with experience managing chronic and multi-system conditions.
  • Demonstrated competence in Patient Care, including assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing follow-up.
  • Experience in Surgery or minor procedures, with the ability to manage pre- and post-procedural care where applicable.
  • Ability to work effectively with Physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care.
  • Experience in Training and mentoring junior medical staff or nurses is preferred.
  • Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with valid registration and license to practice; relevant postgraduate training is an advantage.
  • Experience in nephrology, cardiology, neurology, oncology, rehabilitation, or palliative/chronic care is highly desirable.
  • Strong clinical documentation skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and cultural sensitivity when interacting with patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Ability to work in a structured, protocol-driven environment while maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
