Role overview

We are seeking a Frontend Tech Lead to own front-end architecture and lead the build of a brand-new, accessible design system on Angular 17+ with standalone components.

The candidate will set front-end standards, lead a pod of Angular engineers and stay hands-on - driving performance, accessibility and a scalable, metadata-driven UI for a multi-tenant SaaS product.

Key responsibilities:

1.Front-end architecture

  • Own Angular 17+ architecture: standalone components, NgRx (signals) and Formly-based forms.
  • Establish and govern the shared, accessible design system and theming model.
  • Define API integration contracts with the backend leads behind Azure API Management.

2.Quality, performance and accessibility

  • Set WCAG accessibility standards with axe checks in Playwright E2E suites.
  • Drive front-end performance budgets, lazy loading and bundle optimization.

3.Team and delivery

  • Lead, mentor and unblock a front-end engineering pod.
  • Partner with UX leadership on design tokens, patterns and component libraries.
  • Embed front-end pipelines into Azure DevOps CI/CD.

Required technical skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of front-end engineering with deep Angular and TypeScript expertise.
  • Proven design-system creation and ownership.
  • Strong NgRx / signals state-management experience.
  • Demonstrated accessibility (WCAG) and performance leadership.
  • Hands-on leadership: reviews, mentoring and standards-setting.

Must have skills:

  • Expert Angular + TypeScript with modern architecture patterns.
  • Proven design-system and accessibility leadership.
  • Strong performance and CI/CD experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership of a front-end team.

Good to have skills:

  • Experience with Angular standalone components and signals at scale.
  • Formly or metadata-driven form expertise.
  • Multi-tenant theming and feature-flag experience.
  • Prior greenfield front-end leadership.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in the Software Development Lifecycle; Claude and GitHub Copilot preferred.

Desired attributes:

  • Strong ownership mindset and engineering discipline.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator who collaborates well across distributed, cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in a greenfield environment with evolving standards and a test-first culture.
  • Passion for continuous improvement, clean code and engineering excellence.
