Job Description
The Officer, Program Investment Operations, India will be supporting the organization's programs teams in evaluating, structuring, reviewing and exiting impact investments that advance our mission in all our geographies (Africa, India, Israel and USA). The role involves supporting the Head of Program Investment Operations in conducting rigorous due diligence, conducting industry/country level landscaping, supporting investment decision-making, and strengthening portfolio performance through proactive engagement and monitoring of the overall portfolio. This is in-office role (5 days a week), based in Delhi and there is a 30-40% time commitment towards global work requiring time zone alignments for active collaboration.

What you will do:
Due Diligence
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective investments, including financial, market, operational, and impact assessments.
• Develop detailed financial models and business plans to assess investment feasibility and sustainability.
• Undertake valuation analysis and sensitivity testing to inform investment decisions. Investment Evaluation & Execution.
• Support the end-to-end investment process - from pipeline assessment to deal execution - ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and impact objectives.
• Support the organizations global program teams in preparing investment memoranda and presentations for internal review and Investment Committee deliberations.
• Provide oversight and support programs teams in transactions structuring and negotiation of key commercial terms in coordination with the legal team, balancing financial discipline with developmental outcomes.
Portfolio Management
• Monitor portfolio performance, track financial and impact metrics, and identify risks or underperformance early.
• Conduct quarterly portfolio reviews and prepare analytical and policy-relevant insights for senior management.
• Support the organizations global program teams in developing and implementing 100-day post-investment onboarding plans for portfolio entities.
• Build relationships with impact investing ecosystem to facilitate collaboration & capacity building.
Experience
• 5 years in relevant industry (investment banking, transaction advisory, financial diligence or venture investing) is required.
• Working experience with AI tools for financial analysis highly desirable.
• Undergraduate degree with major in finance, business or economics is required. CA qualifications preferred.
Skills & Abilities
• Strong financial and analytical capabilities, including modeling and valuation skills.
• In-depth understanding of investment processes, transaction structuring, and portfolio management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex analyses clearly and persuasively.
• Working knowledge of using AI tools to expedite and improve financial analysis, reviews and process management.
• Capacity to balance commercial rigor with impact considerations.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams within a public sector or development context.
• High standards of integrity, independence, and professional judgment.
