About The Job:
- We are looking for a seasoned Solution Architect to lead the technical design and architecture decisions for a Salesforce CPQ to Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA) migration. You will own the solution blueprint, guide the development team, and ensure the target architecture is scalable, maintainable, and aligned to Salesforce platform best practices.
- Define the end-to-end solution architecture for the RCA implementation, covering product catalog, pricing, quoting, ordering, and contract lifecycle
- Conduct a thorough technical assessment of the existing CPQ org — including custom Apex, triggers, flows, integrations, and data model — and produce a migration impact analysis
- Design the RCA data model mapping from CPQ objects (Quote, Quote Line, Product, Price Book) to RCA equivalents (Transaction, Transaction Line Item, Product Catalog, Attribute-based Pricing)
- Establish the integration architecture for connections between RCA and ERP, billing, provisioning, and other downstream systems
- Define the data migration strategy — including object mapping, transformation rules, volume assessment, and cutover sequencing
- Make authoritative decisions on build vs. configure vs. retire for existing CPQ customizations
- Produce architecture decision records (ADRs) and solution design documents for all major design choices
- Set coding standards, governor limit guardrails, and deployment practices for the development team
- Review and approve technical designs produced by developers and integration specialists before build begins
- Partner with the BA lead to validate that functional requirements are technically feasible within RCA's platform constraints
- Lead technical discovery workshops with client architects, IT leads, and Salesforce technical contacts
- Support pre-go-live performance testing, security review, and Salesforce Well-Architected assessment

- 8+ years of Salesforce platform experience, with at least 3 years in a Solution or Technical Architect role
- Deep hands-on expertise with Salesforce CPQ — product rules, pricing rules, quote templates, amendments, renewals, and CPQ APIs
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA) or Industries CPQ — including the RCA data model, Dynamic Revenue Orchestration (DRO), and Subscription Management
- Proven experience designing integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, and middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, or equivalent)
- Solid Apex, LWC, and Flow development background — able to review and guide code without necessarily writing it day-to-day
- Experience with Salesforce DX, CI/CD pipelines, and metadata-driven deployment strategies
- Familiarity with data migration tooling (Dataloader, Informatica, or custom ETL) and large-volume data handling patterns in Salesforce
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security model — profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect
- Salesforce Revenue Cloud or Industries CPQ certification
- Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification
- Prior end-to-end delivery of a CPQ-to-RCA or CPQ-to-Vlocity migration
- Experience with Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) OmniStudio — OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures
- Knowledge of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606) and how they influence RCA configuration
- Able to translate complex technical constraints into clear business impact for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong opinions, loosely held — willing to defend architectural decisions while remaining open to new information
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity during early discovery phases and driving toward clarity
- Effective at mentoring mid-level developers and raising the technical bar across the team
