The Software Quality Manager is a role within Business Excellence Function, which ensures Quality compliance to Quest Global QMS as well as software product certification like IRIS, EN 50128 etc.

This role requires the capability to develop, institute & sustain processes in Embedded & Engineering projects. Ensure consistent performance by performing audits and identifying gaps. Driving continuous improvement is an integral part of the role.

Product standard/model compliances have to be monitored. Knowledge and experience in performing delivery audits with respect to ISO 9001, IRIS & CMMI is essential. Experience in performing SQA audits, reviews & produce verification records as expected for product certifications. Ensure product deliveries are in line with the customer process definition & there are no gaps in process adherence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work closely with teams to understand their needs. Plan, create and manage the overall Quality Assurance Plan

2. Perform configuration audit, process audit to ensure compliance to QuEST QMS, customer requirements

3. Participate in certification audits

4. Prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior Management

5. Perform data analysis and identify problem areas. Support teams in performing root cause analysis

6. Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution

7. Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement

8. Oversee continuous improvement(Six Sigma) projects

9. Responsible for conducting the SQA Reviews/Audits, Causal Analysis & project artifacts review as per the customer requirements

10. Updating the SQA manager / Customer quality manager on the status of the process compliance, process gaps, etc

11. Support project teams for process tailoring. Conduct Process trainings for project teams and support groups

12. Escalate the project issues to the delivery management so as to resolve them

13. Participate and spearhead customer audits.

Work Experience

Engineering Degree or equivalent

12 to 15 years of experience in IT service industry with focus on Quality Management Systems

Sound knowledge of Quality Management standards ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 22163 & CMMi

Good understanding of the Information Security Management Systems and ISO 27001

Expertise in Quality Management System, its structure, intent and maintenance

Knowledge on project lifecycle management, project tracking and control

Knowledge on Railway Standard (IRIS)

Good knowledge in Continuous improvement methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean and Kaizen

Knowledge on SDLC & Agile project Management

Excellent people management and leadership skills

Ability to work in a highly geographically dispersed organization
