We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-curious FinOps Quality Analyst to join our Accounts Payable Quality Control team. In this role, you will ensure accuracy, compliance, and process health across AP operations - conducting quality audits, identifying defect patterns, performing root cause analysis, and reporting quality metrics in a clear, actionable manner.
Beyond traditional quality assurance, you will actively look for ways to use technology - including Python scripting, automation tools, and AI-assisted solutions - to make quality processes faster, more accurate, and less manual. You won't just flag problems; you'll help build solutions.
This role operates with guidance from your manager and senior team members while owning defined quality workstreams. You'll partner with operations teams to improve service quality and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
The ideal candidate has a solid grounding in AP processes, a sharp eye for data discrepancies, and the initiative to pick up a scripting tool or AI solution when they see a manual process that could work better. We need someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, customer-obsessed, and genuinely curious about how technology can transform quality assurance in finance operations.
Key job responsibilities
Execute quality control checks across AP processes and report quality health metrics in a clear, insightful manner.
Review financial transactions and data to identify discrepancies, defect trends, and compliance risks.
Perform root cause analysis on defects and partner with operations teams on corrective actions.
Maintain quality scorecards, dashboards, and periodic reports for leadership review.
Identify repetitive manual steps in quality workflows and propose automation solutions using Python scripts, Excel macros, RPA, or AI-assisted tools.
Use AI tools to accelerate data analysis, report generation, or defect pattern detection.
Build or modify basic scripts (Python, VBA, SQL) for data extraction, reconciliation, or automated checks.
Participate in continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, JDI) to reduce defects with measurable results.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements.
Create SOPs and process documentation to support knowledge transfer and onboarding.
Stay updated on financial controls, compliance standards, and internal policies relevant to AP operations.
