Must-Have
We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL database administrator. The ideal candidate should have the following skills.
Technical Expertise:
• Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintenance/upgrade PostgreSQL database servers.
• Implement and test backup and recovery procedures.
• performance tuning of PostgreSQL database systems.
• Automate routine database administration tasks and participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Good understanding of scripting languages (SQL , PL/pgSQL)
Operational Support:
• Provide ongoing operational support for PostgreSQL database, including incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Monitor database health, performance, and security, proactively addressing issues and implementing improvements.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise policies, security controls, and audit requirements.
• Participate in on-call and support disaster recovery, backup, and restore procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering team to optimize deployments and maintain high availability.
Good-to-Have
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, and a commitment to best practices in database administration are essential for this role. |
