Technical Writer

US EST Shift Timings - (8AM to 5PM EST) or (5PM to 2AM IST)\n\nThe Technical Writer is responsible for writing and maintaining documentation for products. The Technical Writer works closely with Product Managers and SMEs to develop customer-facing content and uses MadCap Flare to author and publish online help and release notes.\n\nSPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAuthor content using MadCap Flare.\nResearch product information by attending standups and working with Quality Assurance Engineers, Product Managers, and Subject Matter Experts.\nLeverage tools such as Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, and TestRail to understand issues and develop documentation.\nCapture end-user and administrative tasks performed in products and their expected results.\nManage documentation drafts and the flow of information during development and testing.\nCollaborate with teammates.\nParticipate in Agile development processes and influence product enhancements based on customer needs.\n\nADDITIONAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:\nManage documentation with varying priorities and deadlines within bi-weekly/monthly sprints.\nUse revision and source control effectively within a team setting.\nAct as an ambassador of collaboration within and across the organization, sharing knowledge in areas of expertise.\nOther duties or projects may be assigned as needed.\n\nSKILLS and EXPERIENCE:\nProficiency with MadCap Flare is required.\nSuperior oral and written communication skills.\nAbility to quickly learn, analyze, understand, and communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.\nTechnically curious and motivated to understand functionality.\nAbility to prioritize while taking direction from management.\nProactive at removing impediments with a “get the job done” attitude.\nFlexible and able to work well under pressure and adapt to shifting deadlines.\nMust be a team player.\nBS/BA in related fields such as Computer Science, Communications, English, or Technical Writing.\nMinimum 4 years of experience as a Technical Writer for complex software systems, preferably in a SaaS or web-based environment.\nExperience with Visio or other flowcharting software.
