Job Description
Candidates with a M.Sc. in Bioinformatics and at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in big data analytics, GWAS, next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis, and handling large-scale multi-omics datasets are also eligible to apply.\nKey Responsibilities: Perform post-WES data analysis including variant annotation, filtering, prioritization, and ACMG/AMP-based variant classification. Conduct reanalysis of unsolved cases, population genetics studies, and interpretation of IRD-related variants.
Manage genomic databases and workflows, support ClinVar submissions, coordinate with sequencing laboratories, and contribute to scientific publications and data reporting.\nRequired Skills: Linux, Python and R; GATK4, bcftools, VEP, PLINK, KING, BEAGLE, hap-IBD, AutoMap and IGV; ACMG/AMP and VUS interpretation with in-silico tools (CADD, REVEL, SpliceAI, AlphaMissense); confident use of gnomAD-SAS, ClinVar and related databases; reproducible workflows (Nextflow or Snakemake, git); strong statistics and proven experience handling genetic data at scale.\nSalary: ₹35,000 – ₹50,000/ month (Commensurate with qualifications and experience)\nJob Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu\nApplication Process\nInterested candidates should send their detailed CV along with relevant supporting documents to:\nLast Date for Receipt of Applications: 30 June 2026\nShortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview followed by an in-person interview.
