Indore Institute of Law is the first independent and exclusive law college in Indore, affiliated with the Bar Council of India and Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV). It is the only private college in Madhya Pradesh offering all major law courses under one roof.\n\nRole Description This is a full-time, on-site Associate Professor of Law role based in Indore. The Associate Professor will teach undergraduate and postgraduate law courses, including core and specialized subjects, using diverse, learner-centered pedagogical methods.
Responsibilities include designing and updating course curricula, preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures, conducting tutorials, and evaluating student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations. The role involves supervising student research, mentoring moot court teams, guiding internships, and supporting students’ academic and professional development. The Associate Professor will also be expected to engage in legal research and publications, contribute to academic committees, participate in institutional development activities, and uphold academic and professional standards of the institute.\n\nQualifications\nStrong academic foundation and teaching competence in Law, with the ability to deliver core and elective courses across different programs.\nSpecialized expertise in Constitutional Law and related public law subjects, with experience teaching or researching in these areas.\nSubject-matter knowledge and teaching experience in Criminal Law and allied disciplines, including practical and procedural aspects.\nDemonstrated ability in legal Research, including scholarly publications, project work, and guidance of student research.\nProven Teaching skills at the university/college level, with a student-centric approach and familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and assessment techniques.\nRelevant postgraduate qualifications in Law (LL.M.) with strong academic record; Ph.D.
in Law preferred or as per applicable regulatory norms for Associate Professors.\nEligibility as per UGC/Bar Council of India/DAVV norms for the post of Associate Professor, including required experience and publications.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, and commitment to ethical and inclusive academic practices.\nExperience with moot courts, legal clinics, internships, or bar-related activities will be considered an added advantage.
