About The Business


Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence. Tata Electronics is a subsidiary of the Tata group.

Area Of Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing & RFQ: Lead quotation processes, analyze bids, and negotiate commercial terms (pricing, lead times, MOQ) with local and global vendors.
  • BOM Analysis & Cost Reduction: Work on the RFQ’s from sales and timely submission of quotes to sales after internal approvals.
  • Risk Management: Track allocation risks, mitigate obsolescence, and establish dual-sourcing contingency plans.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D engineering early in the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase to build the Approved Vendor List (AVL.


Essential Attributes

  • Supply Base Knowledge: Deep familiarity with active/passive components, connectors, PCB and Contract Manufacturing (CM) models.
  • Skill Set: Expertise in ERP systems (like SAP Ariba ), contract management (MSA/NDAs), and global supplier ecosystems (particularly in Asia


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering or Supply Chain Management.


Desired Experience Level

  • Typically, 12–15 years in electronics procurement, with a strong grasp of technical datasheets and component ecosystems.
  • Only from EMS industry.
