Qualifications & Requirements


Automobile Industry Experience (Mandatory)

This role is specifically intended for candidates with prior experience in the Automobile Industry. Applicants must have worked in either:

  • An Automobile Dealership (Passenger Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, Two-Wheelers, Construction Equipment, etc.), or
  • An Automobile OEM / Principal Company such as Maruti Suzuki, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota, Kia, MG, Renault, Nissan, Volkswagen, Skoda, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, or similar.

Candidates without relevant automobile industry experience may not be considered for this position.


Educational Background

  • CA Inter preferred (CA qualification will be an advantage) / CA / MBA Finance
  • Strong academic foundation in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Financial Reporting, and Business Analysis


Work Experience

  • 4–8 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, MIS, Financial Reporting, Business Analytics, or Financial Control functions.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of hands-on experience in an Automobile Dealership or Automobile OEM environment.
  • Experience in handling monthly financial closures, management reporting, budgeting, audits, financial controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to multi-location operations, branch accounting, or multi-entity business environments will be preferred.
  • Experience in supporting business leadership through financial analysis, performance reporting, and decision-support information.


Candidates should possess strong practical knowledge of:

  • Vehicle Sales Accounting
  • Workshop / Service Revenue Accounting
  • Spare Parts Accounting
  • Insurance Commission Accounting
  • Retail Finance Income Accounting
  • OEM Incentives, Claims & Receivables Management
  • Warranty Claims Accounting
  • Vehicle Inventory Controls and Reconciliations
  • Stock Funding and Interest Accounting
  • Dealer Margin Analysis and Profitability Reporting
  • Branch-wise Financial Performance Analysis
  • OEM Reporting Requirements and Compliance
  • Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and dealership accounting processes


Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, internal controls, taxation, and statutory compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including: Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP, Advanced, Formulae
  • MIS Reporting
  • Financial Analysis and Dashboard Preparation
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, accounting software, and Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
  • Strong command over budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modelling, business analytics, and management reporting.
