Job Description
The candidate will work closely with the business, leasing, and finance teams to ensure company's legal interests are protected while enabling smooth, fast-paced deal execution.\n\nYou will assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial lease transactions, assisting in due diligence requirements. Further, assist in various service level agreements, maintain legal trackers, and coordinate with external counsel on property, compliance, and company law matters.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\nReview, and negotiate legal documents including Lease Deeds, Leave & License Agreements, MOUs, Term Sheets etc.,.\nConduct necessary due diligence exercise for the subject properties which are of company's interest.\nSupport brand onboarding transactions and ensure alignment with standard commercial and legal positions vide drafting and reviewing various service level agreements and compliances.\nMaintain detailed trackers for all ongoing deals, ensuring visibility to founders and cross-functional teams.\nCoordinate with business teams to monitor key contractual milestones such as handover dates, renewals, and compliance timelines.\nAssist in maintaining a repository of executed agreements and standard templates.\nConduct legal research on property laws, commercial laws, and local compliance regulations applicable to company’s operations.\nLiaise with external counsel and authorities on property, municipal, and labour compliance matters.\nAct as a key enabler in balancing business objectives with legal risk mitigation.\nQualifications & Experience :\nBachelor’s degree in Law (BBA-LLB/BA-LLB).\n4-6 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal team, preferably in real estate, retail, general corporate matters or commercial contracts.\nExposure to practical real estate matter which includes lease/licence agreements; and property due diligence will be an advantage.\nAbility to multi task and adhere guidelines to ensure company’s interests are protected.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination.\nProactive, organized, and willing to learn through hands-on engagement in live deals.
