The below job opportunity is to one of our clients who is a leading industrial technology company (founded 1978; based in Westminster, Colorado) that connects the physical and digital worlds through GPS, laser, and software solutions.\n\nPosition: Salesforce Copado Release Manager\nLocations: Chennai\nJob Type: Contract\nWork Type: Onsite\n\nJob Description:\nRoles And Responsibilities:\nRelease Planning and Coordination:\nPlan and schedule the rollout of new features and updates, coordinating with various stakeholders to align release schedules with business objectives.\nAssess product backlog, prioritize tasks based on product vision and team input, and create basic release plans outlining goals and deadlines.\nEnvironment Management:\nManage multiple Salesforce environments (development, testing, staging, and production), ensuring they stay in sync and overseeing the deployment of changes across the entire release pipeline.\nExpertise in handling Salesforce sandbox management, including sandbox refreshes and seeding test data.\nEnsure environment consistency and data quality across various Salesforce instances.\nVersion Control and Collaboration:\nImplement and maintain version control systems (like Git) for tracking changes and facilitating collaboration among\ndevelopment teams.\nCoordinate with developers to manage code merges, resolve conflicts, and maintain the integrity of the codebase.\nTesting and Deployment Oversight:\nOversee the testing process to ensure all changes are thoroughly tested before deployment.\nManage the deployment process, ensuring releases are executed smoothly and efficiently, with minimal downtime and efficient rollbacks when necessary.\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines with a focus on quality gates and required approval processes.\nCopado Expertise:\nStrong hands-on experience with Copado for release management, version control, and CI/CD automation.\nExpertise in managing Salesforce metadata, Git repositories, and branching strategies within Copado.\nFamiliarity with Copado pipeline configuration, user stories, and deployment packages.\nAdminister Copado for managing Salesforce releases, including setting up user permissions, creating pipelines, and monitoring deployments.\nManage and optimize branching strategies, user story pipelines, and Copado jobs.\nCommunication and Documentation:\nEffectively communicate with stakeholders, providing regular updates on release status.\nPrepare comprehensive release notes and ensure all documentation related to the release is accurate and up to date.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, development, business) to ensure successful feature delivery and deployments.\nChange Control & Governance:\nImplement and enforce change control processes to ensure releases align with organizational policies and avoid unapproved deployments.\nMaintain detailed records of deployment activities, including logs, audit trails, and release notes for governance.\nKnowledge of Salesforce governance, best practices, and compliance requirements to avoid security risks.\nIssue Tracking & Resolution:\nMonitor release processes and deployment issues, identifying root causes and working with relevant teams to resolve them.\nEnsure proper rollback procedures are in place in case of deployment failures.\nPerformance Optimization:\nContinuously optimize the release process for better speed reliability, and efficiency.\nIdentify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve deployment workflows.\nSkills\n5+ years of extensive hands-on experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, with a significant focus on complex solution\nDevOps/Release Management practices.\nExperience in implementing and enforcing robust DevOps practices, including Git version control, code quality assurance (e.g., PMD rules), and building quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.\nDemonstrated knowledge of Salesforce governance, compliance requirements, and change control processes, ensuring all deployments align with organizational policies and best practices.\nEffective communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience providing clear release status updates, preparing comprehensive documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, Business).\nEducation\nBE or any equivalent degree\nCertifications:\nSalesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Administrator.\nCopado Fundamental I & II Source Format\nTekWissen® Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
